Household Investment and Saving Association (HISA) is a program of Christian Workers Movement –Kenya.
HISA is an initiative aimed at enabling Small Christian Communities and other Christian groups/formations to pull their resources together through savings and later invest in their own identified projects to improve the welfare of CWM base groups and Small Christian Communities in our churches through the methodology of SEE, JUDGE and ACT.
The primary purpose of forming base groups is to empower Christians through interventional initiatives developed at local levels or simply to find solutions to their problems locally.
HISA groups working methodology: –
- Prayers
- Gospel
- Savings—50-250 shillings (kshs.50 represents 1 share)
- One is not supposed to purchase more than 5 shares
- Repayments of H.I.S.A loans
- Award of H.I.S.A loans to members in need
- Closure of cash boxes/cash is approved to banked then Closing Prayer
Financial decisions are made at the sitting by all members breaking the conventional financing bureaucracies.
