The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) recognizes CWM-K as a Lay Apostolate Movement (LAM) committed to improve living conditions, rights and justice for workers. Being a Lay Apostolate Movement the CWM \u2013 K is under the Lay Apostolate Commission of the KCCB.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e3ee517 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e3ee517\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-829b7ac elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"829b7ac\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Moreover CWM-K is a member of the World Movement of Christian Workers (<a href=\"https:\/\/mmtc-infor.com\/en\/\">WMCW<\/a>\u00a0which is recognized by the Holy See under the Lay Apostolate Department (LAD). The CWM-K is a grassroots movement constituted by base groups at Small Christian Communities (SCC) and Parishes in 14 Dioceses of Kenya.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7fb5b14 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7fb5b14\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The main purpose inspiring CWM-K movement existence is to train, educate, organise and empower workers to take actions improving livelihoods, working conditions, as well as accessing rights and justice. By December 2020 the CWM-K movement had 80 base groups constituted by 4,000 members. The CWM-K movement base groups exist to empower their members through diverse initiatives at local levels.
